UK aims to set up independent trade policy

A political spokesman for UK Prime Minister Theresa May says it is the government’s objective to put in place its own independent trade policy which is not compatible with being in a customs union after the country leaves the European Union. Brexit is due to go ahead on the 29thMarch and currently there is no agreement in place after May’s deal was emphatically rejected by MPs last week. The spokesman also said it is wrong to say that May has a closed mind when it comes to holding talks with lawmakers.
